Our bass player, Steve, was at work and in a location where he was going to have somewhat free time for 6 hours or so. He thought it could be cool to write about some mysterious space entity, and the lyrics just came to him. Some sort of being travels the universe and goes to a planet to destroy it. For all the lives he takes, it adds to his life span. Basically, killing and destroying the planet so he can try to live forever. It is his duty and purpose in life to do this. Eventually, he notices it's not as powerful as it used to be. His time is running out even though he is an all-powerful being. There is nothing more he can do, so he is content that his time is over.

Enticed by the allure of time
A shiver runs down his spine
He can no longer be controlled
Capturing it, like a dragon hoards gold
